10 weeks post op! All slick with Bio Oil and vitamin E but you get the idea. I’m about to experiment with some different scar treatments after hearing that lavender oil, which is in Bio Oil can cause gynecomastia in men (increased breast tissue) which is worrying given where it’s been applied!
I’ve just grabbed some calendula topical cream (for inflammation and incision healing since I still have some residual swelling on my right side) to alternate with castor oil (highly emollient) and a silicone based lube ($10 from Maxxx Black as opposed to $45 from the chemist!!). I’ve just ordered some rose hip oil to mix into the castor oil which is good for scars. I’ve seen various studies about vitamin E that tell me it may not be the miracle scar healer we’re always thought it was.
